Invisalign Treatment

Invisalign® Treatment involves wearing a series of clear, removable aligners that work to gradually straighten your teeth. Unlike traditional braces, there are no brackets and wires involved. This means you won’t have to deal with any of the restrictions typically associated with metal braces. Invisalign aligners are designed to fit comfortably over your teeth, making them virtually invisible and allowing you to maintain your natural smile during treatment. It’s a convenient and discreet way to achieve the smile you’ve always wanted.

Invisalign® Treatment is a great way to straighten your teeth without the metal braces that everyone can see. It works well for both adults and teens. What makes it special is the use of clear aligners that are almost invisible, so you can wear them without drawing too much attention. Plus, compared to traditional braces, Invisalign® has some great advantages.

You don’t have to worry about food getting stuck, and brushing and flossing are much easier. If you’re curious whether Invisalign® is the right choice for your smile, we can explore this option together during your first visit.

Invisalign® clear aligners are made from a special type of flexible plastic. This isn’t just any plastic; it’s a unique, patented material called SmartTrack™, developed specifically for Invisalign®.. This material helps the aligners to be both comfortable to wear and effective in moving your teeth into the right position.

Your Invisalign® journey begins with a consultation with us. During this first meeting, we’ll gather information from a iTero scan and photos. These are taken to help create your personalized treatment plan. Once we establish that you are a candidate with Invisalign we will do a full exam to make sure that your teeth and gums are healthy.

Then we start to create your treatment plan that will illustrate the step-by-step transformation of your smile, ensuring you can visualize the end result right from the start.

Following your approval of the treatment plan, we’ll proceed to create your custom aligners. You’ll be expected to wear these aligners for 20 to 22 hours daily, transitioning to a new set every 3 days or what is recommended for your individualized plan.

Each set of aligners is designed to gently and progressively adjust your teeth into their correct positions, following the path we’ve planned out for

Each set of aligners is designed to gently and progressively adjust your teeth into their correct positions, following the path we’ve planned out for you, leading to your beautiful new smile.

Not every dentist or orthodontist can provide Invisalign® treatment. Those who wish to offer this service must undergo specialized training to become Invisalign®-trained Doctors.

Our own Dr. Charles Kamel is not just trained but is recognized as a platinum Invisalign® provider.

The duration of your Invisalign® treatment can vary widely, depending on factors such as the complexity of your dental needs and how consistently you wear your aligners.

We’ll give you an estimate of how long your journey to a straighter smile might take.

Generally, the treatment spans 12 to 18 months, but you might begin to notice improvements in just a few weeks.

We’ll let you know how often you need to switch to new Invisalign® aligners, as it varies from person to person. You might change them every 3 days or you may be required to change them every week or every two weeks.

To make sure you see the best results from your Invisalign® treatment, it’s recommended to wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day. Only remove them when you need to eat, drink anything with high sugar or carbonation like pop or bubbly water. You would also remove them when taking care of your teeth by brushing and flossing.

Regular check-ins are part of the process. We have an app called MYinvisalign this allows you to take photos of your progress. Dr. Kamel then reviews these photos to give you feedback on what he wants you to do going forward. As well, typically we have you come into the clinic every 3 to 4 months. These appointments are crucial for monitoring the progress of your Invisalign® treatment, making sure everything is moving along smoothly.

In some cases, your Invisalign® journey might include the use of attachments. These are tiny, tooth-colored bumps that we attach to your teeth. Think of them like little handles that help the aligners apply the correct amount of force to move your teeth precisely. They’re key for achieving more complex shifts in your teeth’s position, something traditional braces would normally do. Invisalign® aligners are designed to fit perfectly over these attachments, making them hardly noticeable.

Not everyone will need these attachments, but if your treatment plan calls for them, we’ll place them on your teeth either at the beginning or during your treatment. And don’t worry, we’ll remove them when they aren’t needed anymore.

Choosing Invisalign® clear aligners comes with several key benefits. First off, they’re almost invisible, meaning most people won’t even realize you’re undergoing treatment. They’re removable, so you can take them out for meals, oral hygiene, or important events, offering a flexibility that traditional braces can’t match. Plus, you won’t have to deal with the discomfort of metal brackets or wires in your mouth.

Invisalign® aligners are crafted from a unique SmartTrack™ material, making them not only more comfortable but also providing a precise fit compared to other options. They are custom-cut to align with your gum line, enhancing both comfort and aesthetics.

As the leading clear aligner system globally, Invisalign® has transformed over 16 million smiles, including those of 4.5 million teenagers, making it a trusted choice for those seeking a better smile.

Everyone’s smile is different. That’s why we start with a one-on-one consultation. We’ll sit down with you to chat about how Invisalign® might help make your smile the best it can be.

Cost and Payment Options

The cost of Invisalign® treatment is similar to other orthodontic options and varies based on how complex your dental needs are. To give you an idea, our prices start at $1495. Just like with any personalized service, the final price is tailored to your unique situation and the goals you want to achieve with your smile.

Actually, Invisalign® treatment usually costs less than traditional braces. The price can vary depending on your specific needs and treatment plan, but overall, you’re generally looking at a lesser price.

So, choosing between Invisalign® can be a great choice for both cost and lifestyle.

Can I Use Invisalign® if I’ve Already Had Braces or Other Dental Treatments?

Absolutely! If your teeth have started to move back to their old positions after having braces, Invisalign® is a great option to consider. It works well for all sorts of teeth alignment issues, whether they’re on the simpler side or more complicated. It’s a popular choice for people who’ve had braces in the past and are looking for a less noticeable way to get their smile back on track.

Yes, this is something we will assess at your one on one consultation. Wel take a look at all of your dental history to determine if Invisalign® aligners are a good fit for you. Each case is unique, so we’ll assess your needs individually.

Invisalign® aligners are made to adjust each tooth separately. If you have dental bridgework, where two or more teeth are linked together, we can usually work around this. Moving the teeth around the bridge while making sure the bridge is stable in its position. Optimizing the outcome as best we can.

What Impact Will Invisalign® Treatment Have on My Daily Life?

Invisalign® aligners are designed to be really hard to spot. Most of the time, people won’t even realize you’re wearing them. This makes Invisalign® a great choice if you’re looking for a way to straighten your teeth without it being obvious, blending smoothly with your day-to-day life.

Absolutely! You have the flexibility to remove your Invisalign® aligners for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. They can also be taken out for special events. Although you can take the aligners out, we highly recommend wearing them as much as possible. To see best and quickest results a minimum of 22 hours a day is recommended.

There are none! One of the perks of Invisalign® clear aligners is that they’re completely removable, which means you don’t have to skip any of your favorite foods. Unlike traditional braces that come with a laundry list of dietary no-gos due to the risk of damaging the wires or getting food trapped, Invisalign® frees you from those limitations.

Invisalign® treatment gently shifts your teeth into place with a steady force, and it’s common for some individuals to experience a bit of discomfort at the start of wearing a new aligner set. Often described as a sense of “pressure,” this feeling is actually a good indicator that your aligners are doing their job and helping to reshape your smile.

If you have any worries or if the discomfort persists, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Yes. It’s quite normal for your teeth to feel a bit loose when you take out your aligners. This sensation is due to your teeth moving into their new positions, with your gums adjusting around each tooth as it shifts. If you have any worries about this, please feel free to discuss them with us. We’re here to support you every step of the way.

To make sure you get the best results, it’s crucial to wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day. Wearing them only at night won’t provide the continuous pressure needed to achieve the desired changes in your smile. All the movement you accomplish through the night of wearing them is then undone when you take them out.

At first, you might find that you sound a bit different with the Invisalign® aligners in your mouth. This is pretty normal and tends to go away after a few days once you get used to them.

Yes, smoking is not recommended when you have Invisalign® aligners in, as it can lead to staining.

Chewing gum with your Invisalign® aligners is not recommended, as the gum can stick to them.

Your aligners are made to stay put, fitting tightly to your teeth, so they shouldn’t fall out while you’re sleeping, talking, or even laughing.

Whether your aligners will fit after not wearing them for a while depends on the length of time they were off. If you’ve only missed them for a brief period, you should be able to wear your aligners again, though they may feel a bit tight at first. However, if a significant amount of time has passed, it’s best to check in with us to discuss your situation.

How Should I Maintain and Clean My Invisalign® Aligners?

To keep your aligners clean, gently brush and rinse them with lukewarm water. You can also use Invisalign™ Cleaning Crystals or similar cleaning tablets for a thorough clean. Remember, it’s crucial to brush your teeth after every meal before putting your aligners back in to ensure your mouth stays healthy.

Yes. Eating foods like curry or drinking coffee before popping your aligners back in can lead to stains. That’s why giving your teeth a good brush after every meal is very important to keep those aligners looking clear and bright.

If your Invisalign® aligner goes missing or gets damaged, get in touch with us right away. Depending on what’s best for your treatment progress, we might suggest going back to your last set of aligners, moving on to the next set, or getting a replacement.

What Are the Next Steps After Completing Invisalign® Treatment?

After finishing your orthodontic treatment, be it with braces or Invisalign®, we usually suggest using a retainer. This helps stop your teeth from slowly moving back to where they started. Each person’s situation is unique, so we’ll guide you to what type of retention is best for you in order to keep that beautiful smile intact.

We often recommend Vivera™ retainers. These retainers stand out because they’re made from a special material that’s 30% more durable than the material used in other popular clear retainers. This added strength plays a crucial role in keeping your smile just as you’ve worked to achieve it.

What’s more, Vivera™ retainers are nearly invisible and are precisely tailored to fit your teeth. This customization is possible thanks to the same advanced technology that’s used to create Invisalign® clear aligners, ensuring your retainers are as perfect a fit as your aligners were.

The cost of Vivera™ retainers depends on what you specifically need. Also, when you get Vivera™ retainers, they give you an extra set just in case you lose one.

You can get Vivera™ retainers by ordering them directly from us.

We’ll outline exactly how often you should wear your Vivera™ retainers. In most cases once you are done your Invisalign treatment you will only need to wear the Vivera retainers at night time. This will ensure that your teeth don’t move back to where they started.

If your last set of Vivera™ retainers is lost or damaged, or if you’re simply out of retainers, let us know. We’re here to help you get a new set of Vivera™ retainers, so you can continue to maintain your new smile.
